On August 30, 2000, Isaac Edward Oster was born, and we couldn't be happier or prouder! I am frequently amused at how much I can see of my personality and David's in him. He does show signs of his mother's stubborn and rebellious nature (sigh!) and his father's analytical nature. I love watching him trying to figure something out. But I must admit, one of my favorite scenes is David and Isaac interacting. David is such a wonderful daddy!

Just a side note: before I even met David, I had interacted with him by e-mail and phone extensively. Even then, I had had a very strong impression that he would be a good daddy. Hey, he was collecting books for his kids, and he didn't even have any yet! I am very gratified to have been proven so right!
